LogBook Anaes is an independently operated professional logbook app. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@logbookanaes.com.
Data we may collect
The data collected depends on how you use LogBook Anaes and which optional services you enable. It may include:
- Account details: email address, name, authentication provider, user ID and account settings.
- Optional logbook data: the case, procedure, specialty, anaesthetic and other professional logbook details you choose to enter.
- App usage data: basic information about app features, settings and activity needed to operate and improve the service.
- Diagnostic data: error details, device or browser information and information you provide when contacting support.
- Subscription data: subscription status, product, renewal or cancellation state and payment provider references. LogBook Anaes does not receive your full card or bank details.
Local storage and optional sync
Core logbook data may be stored locally on your device or browser. If you sign in and use cloud features, selected account, settings and logbook data may be synced and backed up using hosted services.
You are responsible for checking that any optional free-text entries do not include patient-identifiable information or information you are not authorised to store.
How we use data
Data may be used to:
- provide account access and authentication;
- store, sync and back up data where those features are enabled;
- generate the searches, summaries, reports and exports you request;
- respond to support requests and diagnose problems;
- maintain, secure and improve the app; and
- manage subscriptions and access to paid features, where applicable.
LogBook Anaes does not sell your logbook data.
Service providers
LogBook Anaes may use trusted service providers to operate parts of the app. These may include:
- Firebase and Google: authentication, hosting, database storage, sync and related infrastructure.
- Apple: app distribution, sign-in and payment processing where applicable.
- Stripe: payment and subscription processing where applicable.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Data may be processed in countries outside your own, with the safeguards used by the relevant provider.
Payments
Payments may be handled by Apple and/or Stripe. Those providers collect and process the payment information needed to complete a purchase. LogBook Anaes may receive subscription status and transaction references but does not store full payment card or bank details.
Retention and security
Account and cloud data is retained while needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain appropriate records. Local data remains on your device until you remove it, clear the app or browser data, or delete the app.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect data, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Keep your account credentials and device access secure, and maintain exports or backups appropriate to your professional needs.
Your choices and requests
You can use the available controls in the app to manage, export or delete data. You may also contact support to request help with:
- accessing or exporting your data;
- correcting account information;
- deleting your account and associated cloud data;
- withdrawing consent where processing relies on consent; or
- raising a privacy question or complaint.
To protect your account, identity verification may be required before a request is completed. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate security, payment or dispute purposes.
Children
LogBook Anaes is a professional tool and is not intended for use by children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app or its services change. The updated date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last revised.
